UMPIRES' MARKING SCHEME - Captains Please Read

Just to clarify a few issues in respect of the umpires' marking scheme.

a) If an umpire requires to be marked and he is the only umpire in the match requiring a mark, then he will give each Captain a card, and this card will be marked and signed by you, and returned to me. It is NOT a joint card and it only requires your signature and mark, it has nothing whatsoever to do with the opposition Captain.

b) If both umpires require marking the umpire assigned to each club will give the Captain a card, and the Captain will mark both umpires on the same card. It is NOT a joint card and it only requires your signature and mark, it has nothing whatsoever to do with the opposition Captain.

If you are in doubt as to whether an umpire requires a mark just ask him.

Many Thanks, Chris Bates
