Registering Overseas Players

A club wishing to register an overseas player should notify the Hon. Secretary with the player's full name and country of origin. This application should be supported by a separate email, phone call or letter from the player himself confirming his willingness to be registered by the named club.
Until then, the candidate will be listed on the website as "NM (Country 05-11) awaiting player's confirmation". This will change to "NM (Country 05-11) registration confirmed" when he is fully registered. Until then, of course, he must not be selected to play for your club in any league fixture.

The date (e.g. 05-11) refers to the month when the entry was added to this list.
** indicates that the registration is not yet completed because it is awaiting confirmation, either from the club or from the player concerned. The player must not play in the league until this is completed.

The process of registering an overseas player does not exclude the club's duty to ensure that the player is in good standing within the game. For example, he must not be subject to a ban in this or any other league, he must not be disqualified to play by virtue of any of the league's rules or appendices, and he must be legally entitled to play within the UK.

Registration needs to be renewed each year to remain valid.
