The league's Open Meeting - Wednesday 6th April 2011 at 7.30 p.m. at the Bill Wickham Pavilion, Buxted Park Sports and Social Club.

This is when we have the distribution of cricket balls, directories etcetera. All clubs are required to be represented. There is a £50 penalty for non-attendance.

Reward and Recognition Days 2011
Dear Club

I write inform you of a new initiative that Sussex Cricket Board are running in 2011.

We would very much like to recognise achievements by recreational cricketers across the county at all levels. Therefore we have organised 3 specific Recreational Cricket Reward Days in 2011, where any player who scored a 100 or took 5 wickets in a league game in 2010 is entitled to come and watch a Sussex LVCC game in hospitality with lunch provided, free of charge.

Clearly we need your support in communicating this to the relevant players in your club. I have attached a specific invitation letter and i very much hope you will be able to send this to people in your club who scored a hundred or took 5 wickets in a league game in 2010.

I hope that you agree that this is a positive move to bring the professional and recreational games in Sussex even closer together.

Intersport Trophy & Plate Winners
I am hoping to include an Honours Board of Intersport Trophy & Plate Winners in the new edition of our directory.
So far, I only have a partial list and would welcome any contribution you can make (with confidence) to fill the gaps.

FIRST AID COURSE FOR CRICKETERS AND UMPIRES
FIRST AID COURSE FOR CRICKETERS AND UMPIRES

A first aid course for cricketers and umpires is to be held at Buxted Park Cricket pavilion on Tuesday 15th March from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. This will be a basic life support course dealing with care of the unconscious, CPR and choking. A valid recognised certificate will be provided upon successful completion of the course.

Attendance is free but you must register your attendance by contacting the league chairman, Derek Barnard at cricketologist@btinternet.com or by telephoning 01892 653024.
